Characteristics of Science Fiction Literature

I have read so many books over the years, both fiction and non-fiction, and enjoyed every one of them. I always loved reading about make believe stories about outrageous creature and super human people. Real life stories, often brings tears to my mind, especially if they are stories that end in sadness.

Some stories go as far as having killer plants and vines creeping around someone's body, from the feet up, while tightening around them until the person is dead. You see flowers throwing deadly spores at people, as they walk by, killing them instantly.

Writing a book on science fiction comes from the wild imagination of the writers. He tries to connect reality with fictional creations of the mind, making the reader think he/she is really in that phase of the story. Good stories draw the reader into the words and worlds in which they are reading about, it places you right there in the middle.

Fiction comes from deep inside every reader's imagination. People read just so much of the story and his/her mind starts running away from them. They start to think outside this world, into the world of all imaginations.

Common subject's science fiction goes beyond the capabilities of man and imaginary beings from another world visiting us on Earth. These writers bring both into only one place and sometimes it is beyond imagination what the writer has written in those lines on the pages.

The writer tries to make the reader believe that there are beings from another world coming down and taking over our human forms. As these beings use our human bodies, taking over them one at a time until everyone is alien, the world seems to come to an end as we know it, and a new world is born.

These writers try to implant manic fear in the reader, while the reader is being transformed into the confusing worlds of the other planets, where the creatures will fight good, with evil.

Readers imagine that spaceships will come down with inhuman beings, robots, evil plant creatures, and rock formations that come to life, if threatened by violence.

The imagination is a terrific thing. Without the imaginations of people, this world would be a very dull place to live. We can travel anywhere we want in our minds and not even leave your living room sofas.

Just imagine yourself on one of these planets we make up in our imaginations, do you ever wonder what it would be like if you lived on this planet, with these strange creatures, and plant life?

I admire those writers that come up with these stories. I have a good imagination but I can not compare with these writers. I hope they never stop writing these kinds of stories. Without Science fiction, how would we keep on our toes, when it comes to our imaginations, all we would have is the real life stories. Even though some of these stories make for a good read, but there is nothing that enables us to use our imagination, and expand our minds into our fantasies.
