Sorrow fills my hardened spirit,
Loneliness has seen my fate.
Desperate passion churns within.
Caution marks the slate.
Pounding heart from fear I pause,
nothing moves but her.
World of motion fleeting moments
once important now a blur.
Stubborn grasping lunges inward
hoping to contain,
now my heart is falling reckless
only longing for oneness remains.
To gain her gaze in this moment
to hope for one acknowledged nod.
When she turns the world is silent.
There before me a work of God.
Blink not or show my weakness,
I crumble to the ground within.
She smiles and madness shakes my soul
To call this only love is a sin.
Ever changed in this moment
I dare not take a breath.
Completeness now awaits me
life means more than death.
Love seems a feeble word,
It can't contain what is incomplete.
I will search forever for its meaning
all within me at her feet.
