I personally believe that the best ways to get your website up on the internet for free is through www.freewebs.com and www.bravenet.com/webhosting/

Why Free Webs?

Well Free Webs is an extreamly easy site builder, and it has a lot of features, for instnace:

1. No Need To Know HTML.

2. There are more then 300 Templates to choose from.

3. You can easily add a photo gallery, video's, blogs, web polls, chatroom, a page ranking system, a guestbook, counters, shoutbox's, background music, effects, and webforms.

4. You can easily promote your site with features such as meta tags, keywords, it add's your site to search engines as well as internet directories.

5. The site has a built in E-Commerce system linked with PayPal, so if you have a PayPal account you can very easily (Literaly The Click Of A Button) add features such as Donations, Subscriptions, and Shopping cart items.

6. The site gives you 50mb of free storage upon sign up and a 500mb monthly bandwidth limit.

You get all of that with your free membership. After you get more comfortable with Free Webs and your site is bringing in lots of traffic you can easily upgrade to the premium service that offers a whole new list of advanced features.

The only other site I've came accross that comes close to that much functionality is Bravenet, which I'll be talking about next.

WOW is what you might be saying, this site has way more features then Free Webs and it includes 1.5GB of bandwidth and 50mb of storage space.

So Why Would I List Free Webs First If Bravenet Has More To Offer?

Well I've listed Free Webs First because even though Bravenet has more built in site features, it requires a larger knowledge of how to use those features. Free Webs is designed in such a good way that everything is done automatically you just tell it where you want a feature and its done, plus you can freely use the site to rake in a little extra money.

My personal choice of the two is Free Webs for the ease of use, intresting collection of templates and its unique community experince.
