Laughter heals the soul.
As I decided to write on this topic, I realized that have no scriptural reference to laughter in heaven. It does not mean that there are none, it means that I don't know of any. The beautiful part is that even if there are no scriptural references addressing laughter in heaven, we on earth become the example...should we choose to trust God.
Our lives write the heavenly scripts of laughter in heaven, because as we laugh now on earth, we laugh in heaven. The scripture states; "thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven." I would like to share experiences that I have had on planet earth that were God ordained and God given, and to this day, still occur.
Many years ago, and I do mean many years ago, I prayed along with the congregation in a very silent manner. While everyone was praising God, hollering, speaking in tongues, and dancing, I would just get on my knees quietly and pray within my mind. My father, then the Pastor of the Church was a little concerned. He never told me how to pray, he just prayed for me.
After a while, I was secluded from the congregation. This was an act of God. Suddenly, everyone was off in another state, or another country and I found myself alone, literally. As I found myself in this God ordained seclusion, I realized that God had placed me there in order for him to deal with me one on one.
I received letters from church members who were out of the country regarding praise. I received other messages in literature, in conversation with others about verbal praise. Then there were the two scriptural passages that God had brought to my attention that really promoted my change in prayer. One is found in the book of Hebrews which mentions the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. The other one was even more profound, and this was the scripture, or the Word of God that broke the camel's back, after having received various communications from God about prayer.
Just before Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, he did an odd thing. He thanked God verbally. He said; Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I know that you always hear me, but I am saying this for the sake of the people who are here...Lazarus, Come Forth. Then Lazarus who had been dead came out...
The message was clear to me, I was to engage in verbal thanksgiving. I even knew, through the various other communications that I had received that I was just to verbally thank God, nothing more, nothing less.
For a period of about two months, I verbally thanked
