ourselves matters, and if we are professional, then the perception of ourselves needs to reflect that.
The way we dress matters, though our personal hygiene also matters. Would you listen for any length of time to a salesman with bad breath ? Would you want to associate with an employer that smells badly ? Self-image and honesty go hand in hand, and improving those aspects of self image that are damaged by our inability to look the part helps us, as human beings, not only to overcome the obstacles our personal habits impose, but helps us to feel better about who we are, which is an instant boost to our whole self image.
Being honest about our personal habits and how they may irritate others also helps to build a career. Who wants a salesman that fidgets ? People read body language, and the body language that you create may be sending the wrong messages. Body language can put forward so many perceptions from others, and the known perceptions to body language are:
*Insecurity
*Deceit
*Irritab ility
*Impatience
*Imprudence
All of these contribute to how others see you, and by self assessment of how you present yourself, you can work on areas of weakness, showing yourself to be honest and trustworthy, patient and wise, though it takes hard work to get over personal body language problems. When these are overcome, the image that others see will enhance your prospects of a career.
Sincerity is one of the areas that a human being needs to work on. If pushing ideas that are new to a public who need the assurance of it being a viable solution, the sincerity which comes from your body language will spell either success or failure, and here self-image does matter. Looking into a mirror and seeing yourself describe that product may give you an insight as to why you fail to be successful.
When you look the part and fit comfortably into the surroundings in which you work, your self confidence also increases, and no matter at what level of work you decide to participate, this self confidence will show itself and help you to get ahead.
ABILITY TO REPRESENT
Looking at yourself honestly in the mirror, imagine that you are the representative of the company you work for. The image that you produce to others can be enhanced by the image you have of yourself if approached with honesty. This isn't just about style. It is about all of the facets that make a person a good representation of the company for whom they work.
Here, getting away from the way in which you dress, your mannerisms and personal
