Superman is the most powerful superhero in the d.c universe, and some may argue in any comic book universe. He is the first super hero ever and all other are pretty much patterned from his blueprint. We all know his pedigree, more powerful then a locomotive, faster then a speeding bullet, able to leap tall buildings. His strength is off the charts, in some comics he has moved planets with his bare hands. Move planets! He can fly in outer space at the speed of light, he has piercing heat ray vision as hot as the sun. He is pretty much invincible and against a mere mortal like batman, a fight between the two would seem lopsided with the man of steel winning hands down. That would be true for anybody else except the dark knight. Batman is the most strategic mind in the d.c universe. He will find a way to win for he has a contingency plan for every hero and villain. Superman may be the most powerful being in d.c but it is known two things can hurt him magic and kryptonite, the later could actually kill him. Batman knows this and will use the resources he has to his advantage, he has close ties to supernatural characters in the universe for example Zatanna, and he has some kryptonite in the bat cave. He has a kryptonite ring he has just in case superman ever went rogue. Batman has worked close enough with superman over the years to build a great respect for the man of steel. So much respect he would understand what would happen if superman would be mind controlled or would take a turn for evil. You can never count Bruce Wayne out no mater what the odds. You have to remember this is a man that saw his parents murdered in front of him.That tragedy has made him so focused that he pushed his mind and his body to the edge of human perfection. Not to mention that the man is a billionaire, so his resources is almost limitless. Before you begin to give superman that easy victory, think twice before counting the dark knight of Gotham out because when his back is against the wall is when he is at his best. There have been times in the past where superman and batman had to fight, and many of times batman has come out on top. Superman is also all American, apple pie, the big boy scout. Batman on the other hand fights dirty if need be, More cunning and would do what he had to do to get the job done.
