The whole primary season has (until now) been a coin flip but now that we are getting into the final states to decide the Democratic nominee the picture becomes clearer. Obama will win both Texas and Ohio but it wont be easy it hinges on the upcoming debate in Cleveland. If Obama can sway the Clinton base there about his strategy on dealing with health-care and poverty. The one Joker (so to speak) in this deck is Edwards.Where will he put his endorsement will be key, from what I see and hear his best bet is with Obama. Obama been there and seen the effects of health-care and lower class living. If Edwards endorses Obama he will win the primaries easy.
Clinton is behind and being there she is bringing an unflattering mud fight to the table in order to win. She unfortunately is coming off as a sore looser and the voters are leaving her because of it. Obama wants the people to decide who the nominee is whereas Clinton wouldn't mind if the SUPER Delegates gave her the nomination.
With all this in the background Clinton does have the support of Ohio's Governor and some Senators and Congressman, this kind of heavy hitters may give a win in Ohio.
Both Clinton and Obama have been hitting Ohio hard with appearance's and rallies. If we wanted to gauge the voter turnout from these events Obama again has a stronger lead.
Clinton is good with voters over 50yrs some women and business owners, whereas Obama has strong bases with those under 50yrs and more under 30 yrs. There will be influx of FIRST TIME VOTERS this year most of which are young American's in their Twenties and late teens. The person that appeals more in this structure is Obama. Clinton comes off as the old school teacher in the 1800's to the young voters, that is why she asks her daughter to talk at the colleges in Ohio so they can connect with a younger generation.
the one thing that is odd with the Clinton's daughter was told not to talk to reporters only students at these events,is Mrs. Clinton worried that her daughter will say the wrong thing to reporters? Is there something to hide? These questions develop when the media is excluded from talking to all those involved in the campaign.
Obama on the other hand is open to all media answers all questions as well as his wife.He is more personable and approachable as a candidate and voters want that they want to feel included in the process and not just looked at as a vote.
Bottom line Obama will win Ohio and Texas because he comes off as a candidate that you could see having dinner in ANY household in AMERICA!
