Sometimes, making money on Helium can seem like a struggle. If you've recently written many articles for Helium you may be disappointed by the earnings they have produced. Rest assured, there are ways to increase your earnings on Helium. If you're consistent, and you write every day, you can get a healthy payout to your PayPal account every month.
Passive Earnings
There are some channels on Helium that get better passive earnings than others. Holidays, especially holiday crafts and gift-giving, earn very well during the season they're intended for. Travel articles that are about a specific city or state also earn well. Also, tutorial articles that provide people with important information that they need do very well. If you have some knowledge about how to perform an important task, then use that knowledge to craft an article. Use online tools such as the Google AdWords Keyword Tool and Textalyser.net to get the right keywords and make sure they're optimized to about 1% to 5% of your total article keywords to attract the best traffic.
Gain Writing Stars for Upfront Pay
The best way to get money on Helium is by earning upfront pay. And to do that, you have to earn writing stars. If you have one writing star, you can earn $.50 per article published, and if you have 5 writing stars you can earn $2.50. Earning stars isn't as hard as it may seem. It's just a matter of writing quality articles in competitive titles. Be meticulous with your spelling, grammar and formatting. Fact-check and research your articles carefully instead of writing off the top of your head. Writing articles with exceptional value isn't that hard to do, and it will cause your articles to rise in the ratings over the others. If you notice an article sinking in the ratings, especially if it's earning, leapfrog it and see if it can be improved upon. If the article is out of date, be sure to update it as well.
Rate
Rating regularly is important for earning upfront pay on Helium. Not only do you need one rating star to get passive earnings, but you also need to rate to get your own articles to be rated. At times, your articles may sink in the ratings not because they're not as good as the other articles in the title, but rather because they're not coming up in the rating queue and are getting shuffled around by the other articles. To achieve the best ratings for your own articles, rate one article about every day.
