Short stories: Native American

Yellow. In the future, people of other races and cultures would seek the Indian wisdom, and together they would work to heal the imbalance in the Earth and in the human hearts.
But I can see that you're growing weary little sister, sleep now, I will stay by your side, I will keep the fire going through the night to keep you warm."

"Good morning madam, how are you feeling?"

"What's happening... who are you?"
"I am a doctor, dear. Can you remember anything?"
"I...am alive? I remember laying on the floor by my front door for a long time; I was feeling terrible, it was cold and I could not move, then Low Dog came to my rescue..."
"A dog?...It must have been a dream, madam. You suffered a minor stroke, but you look amazingly recovered now! There's someone here who would like to see you, the neighbour who found you... would you like to speak to him?"

"Hello, young man. So, you are the one who rescued me? I am sorry, I don't remember seeing you. What happened?"
"Madam, what I am going to tell you may sound bizarre, but it is true: early this morning, coming back from a New Year's Eve party, I heard a sound of drums coming from your house. I thought there might be a party on, and as I recognized the sound of Native American music, I decided to come around to check it out... But when I got to your door, the sound had stopped. I was just going to go back to my house, when I saw a red light through your door glass, which grew in intensity and suddenly became a blazing fire... the flames were leaping through your letter box, so I ran to my house, called 999 and quickly came back with a hatchet. I broke the glass panel, managed somehow to put my hand through the flames and turn the key, let myself in and... that's when I found you, laying on the floor, unconscious. By then the firemen had arrived, but to my surprise, there was no sign of fire at all, only scattered pieces of broken glass... The ambulance came and took you away, with that postcard still clutched in your hand."
"This postcard here on the night table? Oh, yes, I see now... Are you Simon, living at number 26? This card belongs to you then, and this Indian here is the one who played the drum and started the fire... but I shall tell you all about it in a while, the doctor is coming back now."

"I think that Miss Custer needs to rest now. Come with me young man, there are a few things I don't quite understand about this case, perhaps you may help me..."
