Life; I am proud that I have accomplished life, as every single one of you who will read this should be. The world is too small and life is too short to be full of negative emotions and hate, so it is up to us as human beings to block out every ounce of hate that is filling up our world and put nothing more than pure, heartfelt emotion into the world. That is the only way we can live in peace, and as we all know, if one person does it, the others will slowly but surely follow suite.
I am 17 years old and am on the verge of turning 18, and in general, I am proud of what I have accomplished in life so far. I have been face to face with the grim reaper and I have spat in his face, I have had life changing experiences from a young age, the first of which was experiencing the death of my Granddad at the age of 3, and the second and most heartfelt for me was losing my best friend at the age of 14, that particular incident forced me out of my childhood and immediately into adulthood, as well as a pit of manic depression, hate for the world and a general disliking of myself.
Losing my best friend threw me and my life completely out of proportion. I threw away my education, I threw a perfect relationship with the only woman I have ever loved completely out of the window and I am now unable to win her back as she has moved on, I had no prospects for the future, refused work experience, skipped school, cut lessons, abandoned friends. I was helpless, absolutely helpless. The reason for this was simple, because I did not want to help myself. I stopped and thought, and it hit me just one year back.
I have been holding grudges my whole life when all that people have been doing is holding out a loving hand to pull me back on track, so one year ago, I decided to help myself and force myself back on track. I am now back in full time education, I have friends I would be willing to die for, and I make regular visits to my fallen friends grave, whether it be just for a chat or just to thank him, because I know that somewhere, it was he who helped me get back on track. I also dropped a huge amount of weight, from 14 stone to 12 stone and am in the middle of bodybuilding so I can finally feel good about myself and I can finally move on with my life and hopefully find a nice woman to settle down and enjoy the rest of my life with.
My life at the moment feels like it is as good as it is going to get, and for better or for worse, I am going to have to live with that. The lesson I have learned is life is only what you make it; and if you make it terrible, if you feel horrible and everything is negative, you are going to be living a life in monochrome. Do what is best for you and the entire world, live in pure color, negate all hate and strive to succeed.
Once you have done that, then you have something amazing to be proud of.
