Poetry: On mothers

Where Have You Gone?

It's been twelve years now, since you left us all.
Still not a day goes by, that I don't miss your call.

We never got along that well, through my teenage years,
but when I needed you, you were always near.

You helped me through some rough times, we were the best of friends.
We were closer now, than we had ever been.

God called you home...
I felt so alone...

Never would you get to see,
the grandchildren given to you by me.

I miss you Mom, more than words can say.
It doesn't get any easier, with each passing day.

The sorrow I feel, is still very real.
When will this pain in my heart ever heal?

I miss your words, I miss your face,
without you here, my life seems out of place.

You left with me, your words so wise...
Forgive me if I start to cry...

I never realized how much you would mean to me...
Now that you are gone, I can finally see...

Someday, Mom, I only hope and pray,
we will meet again one day.

Written with love, and fond memories for...
