Idiosyncrasy
Fingertips mark distinction
And still we share the night
Holding hands with hope
To set the world alight
The Sun it shines above our heads
Shimmering on the surface of concrete souls
The Moon it accentuates silhouettes
That guard our mechanized roles
And by design we forge encounters
Which we then battle in spoken word
And by design we ignore our theosophy
And all deliberation goes unheard
But united by the sky
Our surrender we condone
And in our dreams we make our beds
And reality we postpone
We paint eachothers pictures
And we stay between the lines
Photocopying thought processes
To find comfort in like-minds
But our fingerprints mark distinction
And still we share the night
Holding hands with hope
To set the world alight
