Memories
Memories take over my mind
and takes me back to that time
The summer, the sun, the heat
The day when my life felt complete
I close my eyes, I see your smile
I hear your laughter all the while
I feel your arms holding on to me
I smell your skin right next to me
I tried to let my heart take a leap
You could hold it tight and make it yours to keep
So deep in love, deep inside
and fast like on a roller coaster ride
You loved me right, I loved you wrong
I didn't see where you belonged
You held me close, I pushed away
If only I saw it your way
How could I have been so blind
I thought that it was all in my mind
But you were there in front of me
But my stubborn heart wouldn't let me see
You were the one that I'd need
And one your heart my soul should feed
But that night I let you walk
Not listening when you'd try to talk
The fault is mine, I'm to blame
I've never been good at this loving game
Now this night I've reminisce
And thought of all the love I've missed
My memories control my mind
And take me back to that sweet time

The Summer Of Fifty Nine
It was the summer I turned sixteen, we ran swiftly ahead of time,
balanced on the edge of life, knowledge
YOU CAN'T FORGET
You hold your chin up,
higher than you should...
you have so much more pride,
than I ever could.
You walk so
