Galveston, Texas is a beautiful city in the Gulf of Mexico that is a vacation wonderland. It is a city steeped in history, with 32 miles of beaches, an exciting shopping district, friendly people, an amusement park, and a fascinating Naval Park. Three pyramidal shapes seamlessly blend right into Galveston's skyline, called Moody Gardens, and they can be the highlight of your trip.

It may seem strange that three pyramids are glinting in the sunlight, when pyramids don't just pop up overnight in cities across America. Aren't pyramids found in Egypt, not Texas, anyways? The pyramids are called Moody Gardens, and they are part of an entertainment complex, and hotel resort.

With over 400 super clean, spacious rooms, a gorgeous tropical pool, spas, restaurants, a beach, that has beautiful white sand; there's enough to do at the resort to keep you busy without going to Discovery Pyramid, Rain-forest Pyramid, and Aquarium Pyramid. You could probably spend an entire week right at Moody Gardens, but you have to squeeze in the rest of Galveston too.

It's incredible! Moody Gardens Is a full service, luxury resort. There's so much to do here, let's start with the beach:

PALM BEACH

Soft, white sand, blue freshwater beaches, sparkling waterfalls, all this surrounded by lush, exotic landscaping. Relax in the Texas- sized spas. Enjoy a game of volleyball, get sprayed or dumped on by water at the Interactive area. I know what that means, my kids drenching me and thinking it's so funny to get Mom wet. There's also a newly re- vamped kids area. The entire place is a kid's paradise, for little kids, and big kids as well.

RAINFOREST PYRAMID

This pyramid is ten stories of glorious, hot, humid rainforest. The Asian and the African Rainforest are represented here, and you will experience what a rainforest is really like from the crashing waterfalls, to colorful birds flying overhead, to seeing a lush environment full of tropical fish, reptiles, and two-toed sloths. There are beautiful exotic plants in the rainforest, and there's a bat cave. In the African rainforest you'll see African violets, mahogany and ebony trees, and coffee plants. The only things missing here are the huge mosquitoes, and the snakes.

AQUARIUM PYRAMID

Delve into the ocean depths in Aquarium Pyramid and you'll see penguins, and thousands of tropical fish. The largest and most remarkable exhibit in Aquarium Pyramid is the Caribbean area. This area has many different brightly colored tropical fish swimming overhead when you
