Making the decision to have any kind of plastic surgery is a decision that should not be taken lightly. Women do it every day. When I decided to have breast augmentation three months ago, I was asked, by my Plastic Surgeon, why? "Why do you want to have your breasts enlarged?" Now, I have never been a vane person. My body isn't perfect and I knew that I wouldn't be perfect afer the surgery. I can control what happens from the waist down. Put on a few pounds, a little diet, a little exercise, and all was well again. Unfortunately, what you get from the waist up, is what you get. There is no diet or exercise in the world that is going to change the actual size of your breasts, except for pregnancy, and believe me, I am done with that.

For me, the decision to have breast augmentation was an easy one, after I did extensive research on the subject. I found a reputable Plastic Surgeon, checked his references, and on the day of surgery, I was very comfortable with my decision. I was finally in control of the upper part of my body - it was no longer going to control me.

Three months have passed since that day in August and there has not been even one second that I have regretted my decision. I am not self-conscious anymore, I can buy those cute little tops that require some kind of cleveage in order for them to stay put. I deal with the public in the beauty industry every day, and the self confidence that I have gained has helped me to better serve my clients. I no longer look at other women and criticize something about them in order to feel better about myself.

Vanity is no longer a word that is associated with breast augmentation, and any good Plastic Surgeon or his assistant will tell you this. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I now have a greater love for myself - something I never had before, and my relationship with my husband is better than ever.

If you are considering breast augmentation, the best advice I can give is to do your homework. There is so much information on the web about the subject, it will make your head spin. And most importantly, seek out a reputable Plastic Surgeon, and check his or her references.
