The only thing I'll predict about the biblically-described instant removal of truly dedicated Christians from the earth to Heaven is that many people - Christian and non-Christian - will be caught unprepared. A perfect example amongst non-believersis to be found in Rabbi Shmueley Boteach (former spiritual advisor to singer Michael Jackson and presently a contributing writer at The Jerusalem Post). He infamously told CNN's Larry King about a year ago, "Even if I saw Jesus Christ descend out of the clouds and set foot upon the Mount of Olives and then rule the world from His throne in Jerusalem, I still wouldn't believe in Him!" Amongst professing believers, I am so sad to say, I have seen examples here in Las Vegas (and not to disparage every believer). I do wonder about someone walking the Las Vegas strip or ducking into the casinos as they are wearing a large jewelled crucifix around their neck or hanging from one ear! And space doesn't allow for more detailed discussion of those lifestyle practises which - shall we say - come rather short of the biblical requirement of holiness as the prerequisite for entry to Heaven. Jesus Himself laid out the scenario of what will take place, using as His illustrative example the ceremonies of a Jewish wedding at the time. In short, half of those who should have been ready were unprepared. He said there will be bitter anguish at their realisation of having been left behind. The topic of this Helium article is "predicting" the arrival of the Rapture. You should avail yourselves of the scant materiel available which details how the central bankers and their cowed or willingly complicitous minions have orchestrated history's wars, financial markets, and social trends - and know with certainty that their wicked imaginations have not diminished to this day! Then you may compare this with biblical descriptions of Satan and his own minions in the spiritual world. Then introduce the God of the Bible into the picture. You'll wish to see a purpose in all this, which is realised in the salvaging of a portion of the human population in a great event with eternal ramifications - this being the Rapture of the true Christian church and its eternal position afterwards with Christ, while Satan and those whose choices indicated their preference for him meet with eternal doom (here's a chestnut for you true seekers looking for insight - a kingdom recalls its ambassador(s) immediately prior to war. True Christians are called to be ambassadors

Here's a quick history of the "pre-tribulation". It is necessarily quick, because there really isn't that much history available.
