This too shall pass: How every obstacle hindering your way to success is subject to change

There are times when we are steaming ahead towards our dreams or, ideally, we are living them everyday but what if they are a long way off? What if there are setbacks or distractions and what if in the darkest moments it just doesn't seem possible or worth it?

If you find yourself in the position where you feel impeded on your pathway then you need to change things, be it the way you think, work or organise your activities.

Obstacles that hinder are subject to change, they may even be opportunities if you view them a slightly different way or make some adjustments. The bottom line here is that YOU can change the obstacles right now and you can also make opportunities for yourself instead of sitting around waiting for fate to give you a break.

NEW WAYS OF THINKING

There is a very marked difference between being determined and being stubborn. It's not good enough to just work hard, you need to work smart as well.

Imagination.

Take any skill you have and think about how you have developed it over time. As your skills improve you begin to understand new ways to improve further in a more effective and efficient way. Bearing this in mind, don't assume today that the methods you are outlining for achieving success need to necessarily always stay the same.

This is particularly true of business ventures, the systems you create in your first faltering steps towards your goals will get you through your initial stages but you don't have to stick with original methods in order to get to your original aim. You need to almost constantly reassess "how" you are going about getting where you want to be and it could well be that by the time you get there you have tried more methods that you ever imagined were possible.

Keep the word "evolving" as a buzz or key word in your head when you think of your plan. Just as you and your abilities and your life as whole changes, so does the potential you have to create new and more efficient ways of achieving. This evolution should be, as near as possible, a constant process. Whilst you may have to work hard at this to begin with it will soon become smooth and natural.

Always be open to new ideas and techniques, by this I don't mean take anything fully on board just because it's trying to sell itself, think carefully about whether new ideas could fit into and help your plans either as they are or with some modification.

It's not giving up to sit back and reconsider the path you're taking, sticking too rigidly to the methods you came up with when
