Justice
Justice is a beggar,
a mongrel gnawing on
the bones of truth,
orphaned and starving
on streets paved
with law.
Justice is a whore,
bloodied in a corner,
meting absolution
to the highest bidder
on sheets stained
with law.
Justice is a tumor,
cankered, pestulant and vile,
bringing death to the living,
pain to the harmed,
and all in the name
of law.
