I know we have all thought this exact same thing. "It is so unfair that celeb's curl and dye and pull and spray their hair and yet, their hair never looks damaged." Am I right ladies, we've all thought this exact thing, right?
I am going to be STRAIGHT UP with you. I am not a celebrity, nor am I am celebrity hair stylist. I do live in L.A and I am completely obsessed with keeping my hair healthy, the celeb way. The first secret I want to dish out is a good one, and really the basis of every celeb styled do that makes us say WOW!
SECRET NO. 1 - Just like you might of on a test in school, celebs cheat with their hair dids and dos. What do you mean, you ask? How could this be possible? I'm just letting you know- we have some celeb cheaters out there, and the name of the crime is called, "FAUX HAIR" Faux hair is usefully for the majority of celebs out there, and can be useful for you too! To keep our own hair from being damaged by the burn of a curler, we should add extra locks to take the heat for us. Celebrities like Jessica Simpson and Sarah Jessica Parker have all been guilty of this styling crime. Extra hair give you volume that with our real hair can only be created by teasing the roots. Extensions can take the heat for your real hair, still creating the sam do you wanted to begin with, but with less damage. It also allows you to try different styles. We can't really believe that one week Paris Hilton has a short bob and the next week she's sporting repunzel ringlets, nah uh!
SECRET NO. 2 - The endless dye jobs celebs appear to go through would leave their hair dry and damaged, but with the right stylist, lighting and products they can under go as much dye as they possibly want. The sad, unfortunate truth is to dye your hair like crazy like our favorite O.C Gal Mishca Barton comes with an expensive price tag. Don't be sad ladies, we can't really have it all. Dying your hair shouldn't be done like changing your nail polish. Without the right EVERYTHING, one wrong move can send you to Britneyville - a renovation on your hair so to speak. Your hair can only take so much of anything and dye isn't awesome for already tossed and turned locks. Keep it to a minimum and let the celebs show us their version of seasons changed.
SECRET NO. 3- Lets face it, it's not easy to squeeze in a shower everyday from work to party time. If you don't smell, but your hair is somewhat greasy just get a little baby powder and squeeze it over the locks, this gets rid of the oily nappy look and lets you have one more chance at sexy hair. Don't let this go for too long, I'd say the maximum times you can baby powder your fro is about twice before you really need to shower.
SECRET NO. 4- There is one thing in everyones purse that can be used as lipstick, eyeshadow and a styling serum for your hair. This is- CHAPSTICK/LIPGLOSS. This can be used to tame fly away and make your bangs STAY IN PLACE. I'm telling ya, when all else fails, lipgloss to the rescue!
Unfortunately we can't all strut around looking like a famous fashionista, if we did we wouldn't have anybody we oggled and ahhh'd over. We can try these handy tips to get closer to the glamorous lifestyle. I have one more tip that will make you laugh. Mark my words it works. Remember in "The Little Mermaid" when Ariel thinks the FORK is a BRUSH. Yeah, you remember that? Go on and try it. When your hair is a birds nest and there is no brush in sight. Perhaps at your boyfriends house, I personally can never find a brush there! Anyways, run a fork through your hair, it gets the knots out almost as easily as a brush.
Don't laugh at me, it's true, I know you're going to try it right now, shhh, I won't tell anyone!
