It will take time and a huge financial investment for this gem of a town to rebuild, but there is no doubt that Galveston will rebound. The region is no stranger to Hurricane damage and devastation. Each time Galveston has repaired, rebuilt and risen to greater heights. The recovery from the aftermath of the 2008 Hurricane season will be no exception.
Until the rebuilding process is complete, visitors to the area are advised to keep up to date with the repair efforts. New facilities and attractions continue to reopen and the situation changes constantly. The local Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Information Centers update their web sites regularly with recovery details.
