Singapore: A First World country

Look into any world map and the chances of you finding Singapore in it are slim. No, Singapore is not from another world, but why it is not easily identifiable is because it is merely the size of an island.

Though small, Singapore has lots to boast about.

It's international airport is fully air-conditioned, hosting a wide range of facilities like a shopping mall, restaurants and even a swimming pool!

Getting around from place to place is child's play, thanks to its highly efficient public transportation system. One can easily flag down a cab, or simply punch a few numbers on your mobile, and a cab will be at your service in 5 minutes time!
But hiring a cab can be stressful on some people's wallets. Fear not, there's the public buses and trains. Both are fully air-conditioned and the buses even have got TVs in it!

Shopping can be tiring but pleasurable in the city's Orchard Road. Tiring because you can never be done going from one shopping mall to the other. Pleasurable because of the wide range of goodies for you to buy - CDs, books, shoes, electronic gadgets and almost everything else to suit your modern lifestyle!

The streets are unbelievably clean and lined up with trees and flowers.

But being first world is beyond physical beauty. In the buses, you'll find young punks giving up their seats to the elderly people. In the shopping malls, you'll be served by cheerful salesperson.

Security is also highly commendable. It has got the lowest crime rates in the world.

Truly, Singapore is a First World Country.
