US spy satellite heading toward earth: Did the Navy "hit vehicle" stop it?

Allow me to take a step into my personal twilight zone, weird sounds with bongo drum please, and suggest, dark film score music, that we, oh no, can it be...., are being lied to.

I do not approve of this message in that I don't like conspiracy theories, even if they are true.

I want to stick to the nice, safe, straight and narrow conjecture about our military shooting down some relatively harmless junk. There is this other, silly, nonlinear notion that we could be shooting at something else, and calling it junk. We could be shooting at something we don't understand, like a UFO! We can burn it quickly (hopefully) before anyone can get a good look at it, and put out the word that we on planet earth should be expecting some unidentified burnt up debris. Gee, thanks.

If they miss, it will be embarrassing, but if they hit it, whatever it is, that means they've been practicing, so either way, it remains a menace to my mind.

How do we know if it's a U.S. spy satellite? It could be an enemy spy and it's easier to say we are doing our housekeeping than to explain we are shooting down spy satellites from other countries, it's just that oops! this time something could land back on us.

I don't know, I have not been visited by aliens, that I know of, and I do not speak to Martians, but I was alive and well when we visited the moon, and I cannot believe that our scientific-space guys would let things alone for so long. Forty years almost since we landed on the moon!

I do listen to late-night talk radio, and there seem to be many people who are wondering what the heck is out there. Area 51 I think it's called. The place where the spaceship was supposed to have landed in the fifties.

I have not seen any UFO's but I am aware of the term "ufology"...why would there be a term created for something that doesn't exist? Just asking. I don't watch the sky much at night, I go to bed early and have a tremendous interest in comfort, being warm and cozy, with my nightly bowl of ice cream to eat on my way to dreamland. I do speculate about "cover-ups" as I snuggle under my own down covers, and perchance to dream, about whether we may be being lied to.
