Creating a positive business image isn't easy anymore, there are so many so- called reviewers out in the audience. What do they know about advertising anyway? The number one thing I think that is instrumental when writing adverting commercial, is make people laugh! I have noticed more commercials from comedy then any other commercials. For instance, the commercial for the male enhancement drug- enzyme. The man is constantly smiling and so is the women looking at their neighbor. The fact of the matter is you want the consumer to remember the name of the product! Another funny commercial is the man driving his lawn mower in his front yard and he is smiling from ear to ear. Then he simply states- I love my new house, my new car, and my new lawn mower; but I am up to my eye balls in debt (yet he keeps smiling.) The commercial was for Country Wide Mortgage, you can always seem to remember the funniest commercials, as well as the names of the commercials.
I also liked the commercial- I can't believe it's not butter with it had some cover model off of a Harlequin love book on it. They act like if you eat this kind of butter than you will automatically be having multiple orgasms. My hat goes off to the people that advertise Geico Auto Insurance, those commercials are unforgettable! The newest commercials that have come to my attention are the ones with the nomes, I believe they are expedia.com's. They are pretty funny, the poor little Nome is always getting hurt; but this why the commercials are so funny! The thing is for advertiser's to remember that consumers are watching television, it better be something awfully funny in order to be interrupting the show.
Another thing in the past few years that people has forgotten when writing for a professional advertising agency is that false advertising. I think that some companies have forgotten this fact, because if I go into the store and buy a candy bar' and some beautiful man jumps out of the Carmel and kisses me- Well of course that can't really happen/ and if it did buy me another one. Cheers, good luck to all the future advertisers!
