"Walk tall, walk straight and look the world right in the eye" The way you see yourself in your minds eye is the way others will see you. Confidence in your abilities is key. A warm, genuine smile and care in presentation, always with 'shining shoes', so my grandfather taught me, will set the example and show others that you are a person who is respectful, enjoys a challenge and values there own morals and standards.
The fact that you are a willing participant in learning the 'tools of trade' of a company, will set you above the other likely contenders when competing for a new position. That you will also continue to develop your knowledge of your competitors and be confident in your product shows your intuitive nature and adds to your confidence, and the ability to leave your colleagues or clients comfortable in the knowledge that you will treat them fairly and with respect.
This is how I see the importance of self-image in the business world and I am the willing participant in understanding my area of expertise. Concentrating on my particular field has set me on the right path to fulfillment and the desire to always present my best to my employer, my family and to my friends.
Having a purpose in your life whether it is towards fulfillment in your workplace, at home, or at leisure, is as important as breathing. Without a purpose, we die inside and our ability to judge ourselves, and therefore expand our confidence and awareness, is subsequently diminished. We, as a person, have the inner desire to be an important participant in this world and so to feel confident in decision making, we must first find our purpose that will lead to fulfillment, only then can we exert our confidence in a genuine and respectful way.
Find your purpose by thinking about the things in life that excite you most. Write them down! When did you feel the most alive? When was there a time in your life that your felt that this is what life is all about? You've had those feelings at least once in your life. Think about it. Find all those great emotions and write them down. You will begin to see a pattern. Work with the pattern and you will find your purpose, and in doing so, you will gain an amazing amount of confidence in your ability to feel that way again by experiencing the same emotions. This is your purpose! And when you know your purpose, all other areas of your life just fall into place and this is reflected in all parts of your life, from work , to play and most importantly, to your self-image!
Remember to smell the flowers, see the butterflies, listen to the sound of nature, touch someone's heart and taste life!
