Why CVS is a great neighborhood pharmacy

by Kaitlyn Hamilton

Created on: February 21, 2008

My local CVS pharmacy has been a real life saver for me on several occasions lately. They have a little bit of everything including prescription and over the counter drugs, paper products, cleaning supplies, candies, snacks, drinks, bread, dairy products, health and beauty supplies, movies, a few electronics devices, toys, gifts, greeting cards, gift cards of all types, magazines, books, and so many other convenience items. The prices at CVS are very reasonable and the service is usually very good.

This past Christmas Eve I was in a real bind. I work long, hard hours during the holidays and I made the mistake of waiting until the last minute to do my Christmas shopping. I went to the Walmart and filled my cart with hundreds of dollars worth of gifts for my friends and family. I did fairly well right up until the end. I was tired and my feet hurt. I was also sick of being bumped and pushed by rude customers who were also doing some last minute shopping. It just turned 11pm. You'll have to come back tomorrow." I explained to the girl that I had been waiting patiently for more than ten minutes while she chatted with her buddy about her boyfriend and I would like to get some service. The girl locked the counter and walked away. I was so angry that I walked off and left my entire shopping cart parked in front of the jewelry case.

As I was driving home, I began to regret my decision, but it was too late to go back. As I drove past the CVS, I noticed that they were still open. I stopped in to find a fantastic assortment of kids toys, designer fragrances, the same electric razor I was looking for earlier, and multiple aisles of other fantastic gifts. I even found an adorable singing Coca-Cola bear collectible for my nephews. I managed to do all of my Christmas shopping in about twenty minutes. The clerks were also very helpful. By the time I left, I had an
