Top 2008 spring fashion trends for woman

Spring Fashion?
Time to bring out those pastels and put away the polar fleece.
Looking to update your wardrobe for spring? Here are the trends that will renew your look for the coming season.

COLOR
An easy way to update your wardrobe for the new season is to add a color accessory.
The spring palette is made up of neutrals with splashes of bright colors. This season also brings unique color combinations, bright colors, and dusty pastels.

COLOR TRENDS
1. Green: A brighter green than we've seen in recent seasons.
2. Dusty Rose: Dusty pink, with a blue hue, not as bright or clear as last season. VERY HOT
3. Chocolate brown: Continues to be strong.
4. Black: Always a staple, this year paired with white in patterns and mixed with strong primary colors
5. Blush tones: As seen in an opalescent pearl-pink pantsuit shown on the runway by Christian Dior.
6. Brights: Yellow, Turquoise, Green, Orange, Raspberry, Tangerine, Lime, and Tomato Red
7. Yellow: VERY HOT
8. New colors: Cantaloupe, Opalescent silver metallic, Bright Yellow, Tomato Red, and Turquoise

ANIMAL PRINTS
The long standard prints in cheetah and leopard will be joined by zebra and giraffe and tiger this year.

EMBELLISHMENT
Natural elements are huge this spring.
Look for beads, shells and stones on accessories, especially sandals and clutches. Tommy Hilfiger is employing this trend in a sandal called Starla.
You'll see lots of rhinestones and buckles, too.
Giant braids, and folklore influence.

PATTERNS
Lots of patterns this season. Here are the dominant trends.

1. Southwest motifs.
Geometric designs in black and white or brown and white.

2. Floral prints.
From soft romantic to wild Hawaiian. Flowers are in.

3. Bohemian and hippie prints.
Wild geometrics in bright colors, usually with a black outline and usual colors, like purples. Or unusual color combinations, like red with purple, and yellow. Psychedelic.

4. Black and white.
This season you will see them combined in prints, like polka dots or geometrics. Blacks mixed with strong primary colors.

5. Comics and tattoo-inspired.
Again, with the black outline, but this time more defined. Bright Crayola-type colors.

GREEN MOVEMENT
Watch for sustainable fibers: hemp, cork, etc.
In shoes, you see this trend in Patagonia's Alkali, with recycled rubber, and Birkenstock with their vegetable tanned leathers and renewable cork soles.

1. Peep toes are hot.
