Good natural remedies for improved health

As I age in this youth obsessed United States I have discovered five non addictive, non-prescription formulas for youthful features and attitude. If applied faithfully these five simplistic measures will take six to seven years from your face and they are all within your grasp. The cost for all five tools is nothing, except a cognitive belief in the fact that they will work.

First, sleep well and awake refreshed. In most cases, our mothers told us we needed a good nights sleep, and mom was 100% right. As we age, we still NEED a good nights sleep. My tool for sleeping well and believe me I am Miss Insomnia, worrier , etc. is to enact the following. Do not drink coffee or any caffeine after noon, eat a carb./soymilk mix prior to bed, and breathe deeply for ten minutes. These actions will set the brain at resting, release serotonin through the carbohydrate snack and set the mood for sleep.



Second, do not smoke. If you are smoking please try to quit. As an ex-smoker I have become absolutely obnoxious in begging others to quit. I lost one Aunt (age 61) and my favorite Uncle (age 65) to cancer and smoking does cause cancer! Although my smoking husband would not agree with this statement I declare honestly it is based on scientific fact. If you quit smoking your dear face will thank you. The yellow pallor and dryness will disappear and the signs of aging caused by smoking can be reversed. As the cilia in your lungs rejuvenate and thank you for putting out the death stick the increased oxygen will help your entire body. That flushed red after a good cardio will be apparent on a smoke free face.

Third, laugh! It seems that live is so irritating there is little to laugh about. Traffic, bills, work schedules, sick kids and snow drifting over my neck leave little room for humor, but it is necessary to laugh at the bleak commonality of the human condition. I am a type A person and despise waiting in lines, and spilled milk, excepting that I can not change everything and laughing at myself has lessened my stress, and earned me several new friends as well as the illusion that I am younger. If you need to prove this go to a mirror and smile and then go to a mirror and frown or growl, which face beams back with youthful vigor? The smile always wins over the frown. I try to laugh everyday, and it is with this in mind, as I stay at home with three kids and a puppy, and laughing reduces my age.
