Bottle of Hearts
There was nothing I'd ever heard louder
then the silence you left me with.
I watched your shadow follow you out
the brightly lit doorway,
as i heard pounding on the cement floor.
Can anyone else hear it?
Then i look down, to find myself crying.
The echoes interrupted the silence in the
darkened room,
the only light i depended on
had walked out that door.
Thats when i looked around to see a bottle of
shattered hearts lying on the ground before me.
you must have left them behind,
so i poured out what was inside.
One day you'll come looking
and you'll be miserable knowing
those hearts are now free,
you're the only one who's lonely now.
You can take the credit for hurting,
you can take the blame for all the pain,
but you cant take credit for the love
I've found that i grasp tightly today.
