Europe is absolutely packed with history along with some of the most ingenious architecture in the world. The ancient buildings and bridges alone are worth the trip as they are truly an awesome sight, and there are museums in just about every city. However, the cities are only part of the incredible sights that Europe has to offer.
* London:
This bustling city is heavily visited each year as there is so much to see and do with all of the shopping, dining and museums, which are quite extraordinary. London is actually very east to get around too as it has the most unique underground transportation that will take you anywhere in the city you wish to go.
*Luxembourg:
You will marvel at the archeology and art of Luxembourg along with its quaint medieval villages. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is the nature lover's dream with acres of dense flora along the many hiking trails.
* Dublin:
The Irish have a quaint and charming attitude and the small island near the UK is a pleasant and beautiful place to visit, especially if you like to drink. Dublin boasts some very famous drinking establishments.
* Florence:
This historical city has some of the most wonderful art galleries, along with fine wine and awesome architecture, monuments, museums, and churches. You could spend a whole day just visiting the magnificent palaces.
* Amsterdam:
Without a doubt, you will see some of the most beautiful flowers in Holland when you visit this popular city. The waterways, floating gardens, and bridges alone will take your breath away, not to mention the lavender fields and painted vineyards. Be sure to check out the Anne Frank House too.
* Paris:
No one could ever run out of interesting or exciting things to do in Paris. The sites, shopping, and diverse nightlife will have you planning your return trip before your first visit is over. Cruise along the river Seine and admire the incredible bridges, amazing architecture and awesome monuments.
* Athens:
This ancient city of Greece is said to be home to the gods. Check out the Acropolis and Parthenon as well as the Sacred Rock. These historical sites are a must see and always bring visitors back for more.
*Venice:
There is such a romantic atmosphere in this lovely city with waterways running in every direction. Venice is the kind of city you simply want to get lost in. It's a great place to take your sweetheart. If you don't have one, go alone. Perhaps your sweetheart awaits you there.
All of the best cities to visit in Europe are too numerous to mention here. If you have never been there, you are missing out on so much beauty and history. Seeing it in pictures or movies just isn't the same as being there. Europe needs to be experienced.
