DIY automotive repair: How to change a flat tire

The best way to fix a flat is to buy a can of fix a flat. I have to watch people who go to work and help them get their tire repaired. This is just a quick solution.
I have worked numerous car flats and realize that fix a flat
a flat is the best product out there and then make sure you carry a tire gauge. Remember the weight of the tire is printed on the sidewalls of your tire. Then try airing your tire at a gas station; however, sometimes buy a small tire air-pump will help.

Then take your car to a tire shop. Preferably a discount tire repair shop.
Before you do, . The best thing to do is buy a small tire air pump.

After being stalled so many times in the past and over vintage years, I find this is the best way to fix a flat. If you bought your tires at a discount store, they may be able to place replacement tires at no cost, since your tires are probably under warrantee.

There are various other things a tire mechanic can look for when repairing your flat. One is a valve problem. One of these most recently was a nail or glass puncture. I have worked on automobiles and have done small repairs. Tire punctures by driving over nails or glass is the biggest reason behind car flats. Oh well, good luck. As I said before, this is the best way to fix, or change a tire. To actually change a tire follow these steps below:

If you don't have a chance to get to a tire shop. Try parking your car as far as you can on the side of the interstate or away from traffic at a store. Always put your emergency lights if you are parked on the side of the road. Look for your spare under the bed of your car. It's okay if you never have looked for a tire, because if you look a little further under the bed and you will have a spare. I recommend having these things when you change your tire, a jack, blanket, water and spare tire. I had always carried a lug-wrench. A lug-wrench costs about 20 dollars and you will have 3 different size lugs with one lug fitting your lugnuts. The concept with using a lug-wrench is you will be using your weight as leverage as you are holding the lug-wrench with two hands; one hand opposite the other on the wrench. If you turn to the right, your tightening your lug-nuts. If you turn to the left your loosening your lugs. First locate your car jack. Make sure you place this down a third ways near the tire your changing; look for the frame under the car because it has the size similar to the top of your scissor jack. Lift the car up. Remember the flat tire has less room than the spare. Okay use your lug-wrench unscrewing your lugs and collecting your lugs while lifting the jack as much as you need to and lowering when you need to. Collect the lug nuts. Take off your flat tire. Go and get your spare tire. Place your tire between the car and on-top of the jack because it is real heavy. Take a breathe. Go ahead and get a blanket and drink some water. Okay there are other ways people place their jack. There are numerous jacks carried in cars. This is fine. Re-screw the nuts you have in your hand taken from your old tires. Your good to go.
