Wedding dress ideas for a second marriage:

When you are going into a second marriage, it may be hard to choose what type of dress you should wear at your second ceremony. Many times couples opt to keep the occasion between a very small select group of friends and family. Therefore, the dress worn by the bride will not be as elaborate or beautiful as the one she chooses to wear in their first wedding ceremony.

The bride most likely is just as happy, and in some cases happier to be getting married the second time. However, the virginal white no longer pertains to her as a bride any longer. The extravagant gown has been done, and now it is time to think of being practical, though being practical does not mean the dress has to look old and dreary.

When picking out a second wedding dress, the color ivory is very appealing. The dress should be formal, thin straps or even strapless. A wrap always brings an elegant touch to any dress; you can find a wrap that comes with the dress so it matches it exactly. This is a wedding and you still want a formal feel to the affair, a dress that is full length fits this occasion.

However, if you are not concerned with the formal feel of your wedding, any length will fit the occasion. Keep the dress solid and the color light though stay away from white. The type of dress you pick should be age appropriate, if you are young, a short dress is all right, since you will use the dress to go out on many times after your wedding.

For the bride that is a little older it is less likely she will be clubbing. Having a long dress on hand to use for other very special occasion's works well and will help to save money in the end. Keep in mind you are purchasing a wedding dress, though at this stage, picking something that you can reuse for special occasions can now be a consideration.

However formal or informal your second wedding, be conscious of the cost of the dress. Make sure the dress is solid in color and do not buy a dress with busy patterns. Keep it simple and buy something you know you will be wearing again for other special occasions.
