Everything you need to know about the deadly disease and how to control it. Needing to know what to expect and dealing with the fact that you have diabetes. You can also find out what type you have with blood test and urine tests. There is Three types of diabetes
They are as follows:
Type 1
Type 2
Gestational Diabetes
Gestational Diabetes is usually developed when the woman is pregnant with a child, but usually disappears when she gives birth.
Type 1 is usually controlled with insulin
Type 2 is usually controlled by medicated tablets and exercise.
I have lived with diabetes since year 2000 and I have been in and out of hospital for the past six months because of this disease they call Silent.
There are a lot of famous people who suffer from diabetes.
Naming a few are:
Oprah Winfrey
Elvis Presley (Dead)
Marcia Hines (australian singer)
Chris Farley (Dead)
William Shakespeare (Dead)
The reason they call it the Silent disease is due to the fact that people out there do have this disease and not know about it until the get a routine blood check.
When I found out I had Type 2 diabetes I was very angry and upset, I thought I was going to die.
When I went back to my doctor, he told me to have another blood test and urine test, so I did. I was shocked and confused when my doctor told me that my diabetes had developed into Type 1, which is worse then Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes.
I did have Gestational Diabetes with my first son. who doesn't have diabetes, which is a good sign.
It took a lot of will power and encouragement from my husband and my family to support me in my continuing journey with Diabetes.
Once you get diabetes, there is no way out. You will have it until the day you die.
Drinking lot's of water and eating properly and exercise won't.
Diabetes can lead to heart disease, eye problems, kidney failure, ulcers on feet. Amputation of limps.
Having this problem can also lead to death if it's not controlled properly.
Diabetic Comas is another one to consider, because once you're in that's situation, it's hard to get back to normal life.
Don't forget This disease is not just hard on you but it's hard on your family and friends.
