Flowers in The Sand
Do you recall the day?
When, at the tides' edge we stopped to lay?
In the sand, the wisping sands,
Those bodies there, we put to stay.
I visited that place today,
To see if those bodies were there in place.
To my surprise I found the spot
Marked with flowers of a morbid sort.
Lilly blossoms lined the graves,
While ocean spray,
And wind and waves,
Made the scene and eerie still life.
Again, each year, I plan to trek.
To the tides edge, to check
In the sand, the wisping sands
Where we stopped that day
In the sand, to lay
Those bodies there, we put to stay.

Will no one calm my fears?
