Many families that fancy themselves as cat lovers may be content in just owning the animal without caring too much for its well being. It's possible that the cat receives plenty of love and ample food but a family's knowledge of cats may be limited to just that. A great gift for those families then would be a book on cat care.

Even if families own books on cat care they may not pay much attention to the books if the cat looks healthy enough. It may only be when their cat goes off its food that they reach for the book to discover that an abscess has formed on the cat's body as a result of a cat fight. The book would quite rightly insist that a cat with an abscess should be taken to a veterinarian who will treat the cat and give the cat an injection if necessary. Unfortunately veterinary expenses are rather high and a family may not have the money to spare. A great gift for these families may be an amount prepaid at a veterinary under the name of the pet and its owner. Even if the cat doesn't get into cat fights the animal still should have regular health checks in which case the gift would not go astray.

Cat lovers often like anything at all to do with cats. If you take a look around the home of any cat lover you will see cat calendars , cat ornaments , cat statues ,cushions with pictures of cats embroidered on the covers and so forth. A cat lover will surprise you with the extent of cat paraphernalia to the point that you would think it impossible to come up with something they don't already have . A great idea for these people would be a gift voucher to be spent at any shop that sells nic nacs that appeal to cat lovers.

So far I have suggested a cat book , assistance with veterinary expenses and some object that is cat orientated for the cat lover. No doubt there are many more suggestions that a cat lover may appreciate. Foremost on the mind of any real cat lover however is the well being of the cat itself. Cat lovers in the main will want the best for their pet.

Any cat lover will tell you that their cat is a fussy eater and will only eat selected cat food. My cat for instance likes a variety of things. His favorite food is ham . He will appear from nowhere if the refrigerator door is opened and he hears the rustle of the ham wrapper.
I am not advocating that you buy a leg of ham although you would have a lifelong friendship bonded with super glue with my cat if you were to gift him one, but I would suggest that you try to find out what a cat lover feeds his cat
