Just bought Guild Wars? Well do you have it good because in this guide/hint/tip article you will learn all you need to become pro!
Starting off: The first thing you will need to do is choose your class...
Assassin: A fast attacking warrior that flips, shadow steps (teleports), and annihilates his opponent with a series of dreadful blows to critical spots...
Attributes: Deadly arts , Dagger Mastery, Critical strikes, Shadow arts...
Inherit effects: for each point in dagger mastery you get an increased 2% chance to double strike, for each point in critical strikes you get a 2% increased chance to critical hit!...
Warrior: a heavy duty tank who can take a lot of damage and hold off many opponents!
Monk: a hold saint who heals his allies and who also smites his enemies and makes them feel his holy vengeance.
Necromancer: a worshiper of grenth (evil god) this necromancer focuses his power on evil attributes such as death magic and blood magic. There are some down sides but also some good things... like the necro can summon minions to fight for him!
Elementalist: this mage like character owns the elements and obliterates his enemies with either fire, water, earth, or air magic!
Mesmer: ever feel like just sending your enemy into a series of dreadful nightmares to cause havoc torment on them? well thats just what this mesmer character does with his illusion magic and domination skills.
Ritualist: commander of all things in the spirit plane the summoner dominates this world with his other worldly beings that he summons to fight/heal/support for him!
Dervish: sort of like the warrior the dervish attacks and holds many enemies except with one difference... the dervish can kill them all fast too! he wields a might scythe that attacks up to 3 enemies and for the most damage in the game that a single weapon can do! so enemies stay away from this slow moving sign of death!
Paragon: if your team needs help from the up-coming assassins or dervishs or ANYONE! this character will own them all! the paragon supports your party and helps your monk! with as much armor as the warrior the paragon can hold enemies, kill them, and provide for your team!
Once you have picked one of these characters then all you need to do is find a farming place where your character can kill things for money! there are literally hundred of farming places so just pick one... my favorite is in yohlon haven!
One of the best tips i can give you is don't call someone a noob... please don't because only noobs say noob :)
Join a guild once you get the game there are thousands recruiting and most help you get used to the game and give you free stuff which will help you greatly along the way!
If you like the game get the expansions...
Guild Wars: Nightfall (allows you to get derv + para +original 6), factions (allows you to get assassin + ritualist + original 6), Prophecies (allows you to get original 6), or GW:EN (allows you to get nothing but its a great expansion!).
i hope this helped you a little for when you start out! anything else would be best left for you to experience first hand so good luck!
