Wedding dress ideas for a second marriage

You may have thought, it might never happen again. Surprise lurks around the corner, you may have dreamed about this romance, where it will take you, taking your time not to make another mistake or being plain old cautious. Then the proposal, you're getting ready to say " I do" for the second time. Whatever your situation may be, the perfect dress is out there. It's just a matter of finding it.

First, locate various places to purchase your gown. This time you are not looking for any particular style, the world is your oyster.

Locate bridal shops, many shops offer non traditional gowns. There are a wide range of styles and colors, including soft blues, pinks, metallic shades of silver, copper, deeper shades of magenta, black or maybe even red. Another option is to look at bridesmaids' gowns, you never know, something might just call out to you.
If you are not sold on the traditional shade and style of dress in white, embrace the array of colors out there. Your day, anything goes.

Browse the women's section of your local departmental stores. Scan those evening wears, cocktail dress or even a prom dress that looks stunning on you. After the holidays, is usually an ideal time to shop for an evening gown. You will be amazed at the amount that has been marked off.
March or April are the best times to shop for a prom dress, they are very stylish and come in a range of sizes. Remember, if you do buy something from the departmental shop, make sure it is somewhat obscure and not the same dress as one of your guests.

Rent a gown, if you do not mind wearing something, another bride has worn. If you are not attaching any sentiments, this will probably be something to consider. The alterations and cleaning are usually included in the price.

Go for a theme, make your wedding stand out. Go for either a Disney theme, Angel theme or any theme that attracts your fancy. Where you, your husband-to-be and attendants all become characters in the theme. You can rent costumes at a costume shop, alterations can be done for you. Themes can depend on your chosen venue, weather, location or simply a movie you and your groom enjoy.

Celebrate your heritage, look at your Celtic roots for inspiration, Japanese ancestry- kimono-style. Traditional kaftan for the Moroccan look, African symbolism for the traditional attire. A Scottish bride might wear a beautiful placid throw over her gown

Borrow your gown from your mother or grandmother. If your mother's dress is back in vogue, go for it. You will probably have to alter it significantly.

Run away, destination brides are becoming increasingly popular. Go with a gown that's flowing, light and carefree. Some brides wear a bikini top and a sarong. One idea is to incorporate your surroundings into your gown, attach flowers into your hair.

Transform your dress! Cover an elegant white dress with Lacey elements like a jacket that runs the entire length of the dress. Your jacket can be any color.
Have your dress custom made, decorate your old dress with pearls, beads or crystals as I said the world is your oyster.
