You're Forgiven My Child

Verse 1 -
Well now, once I heard a story of a woman caught in sin
According to the law, she should be condemned.
They took her to Jesus, to see what He would say.
Would He have her put to death or let her walk away?
He stood before that angry mob, holding a stone.
He said, "The perfect one among you can cast the first one."
Well, it wasn't very long until her accusers all fled.

Then Jesus turned to the woman, and this is what he said,

Chorus -
You're forgiven my child, now go and sin no more.
Those chains that once bound you now lay on the floor.
Your past has been forgotten, you have been restored.
You're forgiven my child, now go and sin no more.

Verse 2 -
Then I heard a story of a man whose name was Saul
He persecuted Christians, he loved to watch em fall.
A leader of the Pharisees, he thought that he was right.
But on the road to Damascus, he finally saw the light.
While lying on the ground he heard a heavenly Voice call.
And he became a brand new man, and changed his name to Paul.
He gave his life in service to the One he'd fought so long.
He was greatly used of God when he repented of his wrong.

Chorus -
You're forgiven my child, now go and sin no more.
Those chains that once bound you now lay on the floor.
Your past has been forgotten, you have been restored.
You're forgiven my child, now go and sin no more.

Bridge -
But the greatest story of all took place on a hill called Calvary
Where God's only Son bled and died for you and me.
At if you'll come to Him with repentance in your heart,
He will wash away your sins and give you a brand new start.

Chorus -
You're forgiven my child, now go and sin no more.
Those chains that once bound you now lay on the floor.
Your past has been forgotten, you have been restored.
You're forgiven my child, now go and sin no more.
