Meth Laws on the Rise
In our earlier days our biggest concerns was cocaine, LSD and Marijuana. And now in comparison to this newer generations discovery of Meth all the others seem to have been no real problem at all. Several of our states have now passed new laws prohibiting the purchase of more than 9 mg. of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride in a months time. Even with these new laws the law breakers have found ways of maneuvering around this to obtain their supplies. They carpool three to four and send one person at a time into the stores purchasing pseudo's. Now when buying these non-prescription drugs you must show I.D. and sign for them. This has slowed down the labs but will never stop them. They have also found other ways to obtain this drug by breaking down Medicated mineral blocks used on farms for livestock. Purchasing pills does seem to be the easiest but the mineral blocks are easier to obtain. The process of the mineral block break down is approx. 6 hours. With using some of the most commonly used items at home such as 10 gallon fish tank, 12 volt car charger, purified water and galvanized nails. with the purchase and use of approx. 1000 pseudo pills these people can generate about $3000.00 dollars for the cost of about $150.00 dollars. These blocks after break down generates approx. 2 1/2 ounces of pseudo for the cost of about $48.00. This is enough to generate about $7000.00 dollars in revenue to these labors. The only way we are going to stop this is to place these people in custody without bond and place high penalties on them such as 30 yrs. straight with no parole and no good time off. This might make them think twice if they live long enough to ever get out. My opinion may seem too stiff to some but, give this a thought is these poison passers lives worth more to you than your own childs life. Now with that thought does the penalties still sound too stiff!
