The change to the gun laws in America is long overdue.
Why is the right to bear arms so important that you continue to allow these massacres of innocent people to happen?
Yet again I have awoken to the news of a shooting of innocent students at a school.
Yet again an otherwise normal student lost the plot completely and went on a rampage.
Yet again this person had access to an arsenal of guns and used them to kill.
Students, the world over, become depressed, anxious, angry, aggressive, worried and desperate. Only in America do they go on shooting sprees.
The reason is obvious and has been since the Columbine disaster. It is the gun laws in your country.
The answer to your problem is also obvious. Change your gun laws.
To be honest, the fact you haven't yet is flabbergasting to me and the rest of the world.
What is it that stops you from doing what everyone else in the world sees as the only solution? Why do you hang onto antiquated laws that had a function a century ago but do not have a place in this modern world?
Is your law enforcement really that bad that you feel the need for guns to protect yourself from your fellow man? Don't forget, if you limit the number of guns in society the chances that you will, one day, face an armed offender are hugely diminished. The chance that little Johnny finds your gun stash will also disappear.
To an outsider like me these questions are quite inane. The reason why these questions are absurd is because the answer is there for all to see.
The necessary change to your laws is not difficult to introduce. We are not talking about inventing a way to travel through time here. No huge R&D budget is necessary. No lengthy trial period is needed.
The only thing necessary is your willingness to accept that your gun laws are no longer appropriate and your right to own and use a gun is no longer legitimate.
Stop the killing of innocent kids. Stop living in fear and start to accept the reality that if you have millions of guns in any society, they will be used. Good intentions are not enough. Regulations are not enough. Gun safes and speeches are not enough.
Get rid of the murderous machinery and get on with living.
It's obvious, it's necessary, it's time.
