Clinton VS Obama My Take -
As the democratic race for the nomination heats up it looks like neither party is going to end up with a simple majority. That simply means that there are going to have to be some backroom deals with candidates who have dropped out and the so called super delegates and maybe even some of the delegates themselves who committed to other candidates that are no longer in the race.
I have to tell you I really like Obama even though I was all for Hilary becoming the first female president of the United States of America. But hey what's wrong with an intelligent, well spoken, charming African American man?
Here is the problem I see and I am sure there are many Americans that view it the same way even though it sure doesn't look that way right now.
America has a lot of problems right now and that really is an understatement. To fully understand what a new president will be dealing with from day one in the White House take a look at the following list:
1- The Dollar is plunging and the economy is very weak.
2- There is a definite sign that a recession is around the corner if it already isn't here.
3- China is rising fast and holds a tremendous amount of US Treasury Bills which certainly threatens the most powerful economy in the world not to mention the most powerful country in the world militarily, the USA.
4- India is rising economically as well which lends even more economic power to that region often called Chindia China & India!
5- Russia is rising and Putin is showing signs of leading his country back to the arms race days of yesteryear.
6- Pakistan remains a dangerous powder keg that could blow very early in the next president's term. They have nuclear weapons, fundamentalist Islamists and whether Americans want to believe it or not, Osama and crew under their roof.
7- Pulling out of Iraq seems to be a simple solution that Iran would just love. Iran would walk in with ease and cease the country and all its oil wealth. All those young American lives lost for nothing not to mention the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives lost.
8- Afghanistan has not yet been secured and the situation there is as uncertain as ever. If Pakistan and / or Iraq blows American and allied troops would be in huge danger and under massive pressure in Afghanistan. Walk away from Afghanistan and how long will it be before another 9/11 ferments as the Taliban surely come back to power and their brothers Al-Qaeda find a home again.
