into these unusual rock formations and you will be greatly rewarded for your effort.
Forests and meadows support a diverse animal life, from birds to the occasional mountain lion, bears and elk. Even at this high elevation, over 400 plant species grow here.
Bryce Canyon Lodge reflects the rustic style of its period and bookings should be made well in advance. Ruby's Inn is also located at the entrance to the park. Tent and RV camping is on a first-come basis.
NORTH RIM-GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK
Many people, who have viewed both sides of this "Wonder of the World", will often admit that they prefer the less visited North Rim. While other tourists are falling over each other on the South Rim side of the Grand Canyon, you will have no such problems here.

Splurge and stay in the historic, but very comfortable, Grand Canyon Lodge. Make your reservations early. There is a demand for this lodge, built right on the edge of the canyon, and with eye-popping 360 degree views. For others, cabins and campsites are also available.
The Lodge also boasts a gourmet restaurant, a hotel porch and patio where you can sip a good glass of chardonnay after a day exploring one of the most amazingly beautiful places on earth. And no one cares if you still have on your hiking boots.
