Effects of the Writer's Guild of America (WGA) strike

who are affected by a trickster who can send them forward and backward through time at will. This show looks like it has some serious promise. I prefer the networks to WB, but I will defect if necessary. No loyalty to greedy writers and producers from this sci-fi fan.

Pushing Daisies appears to be set up to return this fall. This show, about a man who can bring the dead back to life, was one of my top picks for most promising shows on television. Let's hope it stays for the long haul.

I haven't been keeping up with Scrubs as much as I used to, since it's up against Grey's Anatomy. But it appears to have some episodes scheduled for shooting. This has long been one of my favorites, and in my opinion one of the best comedies on television. I certainly wouldn't think that a silly writer's strike could affect such a long-standing quality program. But we'll see.

Fortunately, my all time favorite Grey's Anatomy seems to have come out of surgery with its heart still beating. The next shows should air in April or May. Apparently neither the writers or the producers had the stupidity to kill the best and most popular show on television. Is this a good sign? I predict that Grey's Anatomy will continue to remain a runaway favorite regardless of arguments amongst the cast, firings and writer's strikes. I have faithfully looked for new episodes throughout the strike and even watched reruns I had already seen. I believe that many other people need their weekly dose of Grey's Anatomy, and that the show should have several more good years.

I just want to say in summary that the writers and producers of television have stolen something from us, the viewers, that is worth more than money. For some of us, these shows are important. They are about all the diversion we get. Furthermore, we get really interested in them, and we become attached to the characters. We want to know what is going to happen next. These characters are more than just fiction; to us, they gain a bit of reality. Really decent writers agonize about killing off a character. Apparently, the people who write our television programs have no such conscience.
