Inexpensive bridesmaids dresses

Planning a wedding can be a very joyous occasion; but it can also be one of the most stressful things a woman with the help of her family and friends can do. When being on a restrictive budget can make the planning even worse. Depending on the time of year someone starts shopping for the perfect bridesmaids dresses, there are a couple of tricks that can save money for extra little things that make the wedding special.

For the bride that is concerned about everything matching but would like to save as much money as possible, shop around the time the high-schools have a formal dance. During prom season most department stores are selling formal dresses which don't have to be custom ordered like most wedding shops. If the bride wants all the dresses to match and one store is out of a size other stores in the area are likely to have the same dress in other sizes, maybe even at a better price. For matching dresses, the best time to shop would be a the beginning of the season, that is when the stores will have the best selection. Purchasing dresses at the department store may cost up to $200 per dress, but it will save money by dot having to special order them and multiple fittings with a tailor witch costs money each time.

For the bride that is not as concerned about everything matching perfectly, she could save even more money. She just has to wait until the prom and other formal dresses go on clearance. The downside to shopping this way is the chances of finding two matching dresses is a lot lower. In that aspect that is when using the different colors of the wedding is useful. With this technique, all the bride has to do is find dresses that are similar in style but in different colors. This will make the dresses go with the color theme of the wedding, without looking obvious that they are not identical. Purchasing dresses on sale after the formal events will save at least fifty percent per dress. Instead of spending up to $300 per dress at a bridal shop, a bride could spend as little as $40 per dress depending on how formal the bridesmaids' dresses are to be. The less formal the dress, the cheaper it will be.

Shopping at the department stores may be a little more time consuming than looking in a bridal magazine and picking the dresses, but it can save a lot of money. It can also save the bride the unwanted stress of wondering if the tailor will have the dresses done right and in time. The dresses will already be hanging in the closets, ready for the big day.
