Would you be pleased to have a physical infirmity and not be able to get professional help? Perhaps as a youngster you started smoking and became addicted. If you are locked into a smoking addiction that you cannot break or have a physical problem that defies weight loss, would you want to be turned down when you require the help to solve your problem? Would it not be medically expedient for the insurance to fund the proper care that would help you create a new life? How does it feel to be looked upon as an albatross, rather than that of a loving and caring person that affects many lives? These are the questions that we must come to personal terms of agreement before turning our back to those that require assistance the most. Why is society not attacking the root of the problem? The medical industry if far to busy treating symptoms than that of curing real problems. Why should surgery be the preferred method of treatment when less expensive alternatives are available? Could we not save multitudes of millions of tax dollars by replacing a $500,000.00 life threatening treatment with a much safer, life enhancing option that has a cost $5,000.00?
What I find most disturbing is in the Health Maintenance Organizations, who desire to keep health costs at a minimum that alternative health care is not covered because they only offer an alternative to Medicare. Where are the Weight Loss Clinics? How do you help the customer to maintain good health when less expensive alternatives are ignored for the sake of feeding the medical complex? For those ailing the most and unable to pay the toll of quality health care, this would be a dream come true.
What is more dangerous, being a smoker or being overweight compared to entering a medical facility and contacting life ending infections that are ravaging our medical facilities? To my mind as one with an inoperable condition, I was advised by a plastic surgeon that there would be a 100% of infection that would claim my life. What and where are my alternatives?
At a place in time where hospital care is almost a guaranteed ticket to the other side, death by common measure is far to prevalent. this option is totally off limits to anyone that values life. When is our population, taxed at exceedingly high rates to fund this life ending monster which is now crying for more increases going to be terminated? The cost of continual expanding costs national overhead are going to demand cheaper alternatives? I am very tired of having my friends and family having to be threatened by fat cat politicians that want to tax more to feed the monster of death as they Wine and Dine on my nickel..
