The battle of Armageddon is generally referred to as the final conflict between good and evil, the location for this apocalyptic event will take place in the valley of Megiddo, the visible contestants of this great battle of Armageddon includes Russia, Syria, and Iran, bringing an incredible number of troops against Israel. Right now all eyes are trained upon activities in and around the Middle East, eventually as events boil over and reach fever pitch, relationship deterioration with international affairs will prompt unusual hostility by other nations towards Israel.

The word "Armageddon" appears only once in the entire Bible and is found in Revelation 16:12-21 "And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watched, and keep his garments, lest he walks naked, and they see his shame. 16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. 17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air.

But in stern reality, No place on earth actually bears the name Armageddon, and the above passage is the only mention of it in scripture. The Greek is most commonly thought to be a transliteration of the Hebrew hard Megiddo, literally, means "mountain of Megiddo." Here is where the location of final battle will be center of media focus.
The Mount of Megiddo is located in the Plain of Esdraelon or Jezreel, a valley fourteen by twenty miles in size located to the southwest of Nazareth. Here, it is thought by many, that the great final battle of Armageddon will be fought at the end of time. Is it possible this battle is will only be symbolic; however, other interlocking areas of the Bible corresponding to the final climatic conflict between good and evil reveals those serious consequences lay ahead for mankind?.

Megiddo conjures up all kinds of mysterious heroics with bible students, the name itself is reminiscent of a fascinating site with about twenty cities built directly on top of one another and inhabited continuously from 3000 to
