Choosing a major and a minor in school?
Even accredited colleges can offer degrees in programs that are actually dead ends when it comes to finding an appropriate job after you graduate. Before deciding to choose the program, you should ask yourself the following questions: What would you like to do when you pick such a major that you really like so much? Keep that in your mind and search out more information. Art seems to be a soft character in its meaning and in the way "Art" is presented to society. When you go to Art Fairs, Art Festivals, Craft and Art Shows, that is not in the core of art but it is just an output or product of what we seem to create to be something in any in any form, shape, color or dimension.
This is tough for a student who wants to be in school and does not know yet what they want to achieve?. There are so many students who tend to choose Art, Liberal Arts programs in general and do not know what they will choose to do next, after graduation.
A student can also discuss with a counselor to find advice. Most of the time, educational advisers will always let you do what you like to do. Remember that in your high school years, you may not have done good but you pass it anyway. However, after time goes by, you grow and become more mature from your high school years. You may not even know that you can do math and do better than you did in high school. My suggestion is to encourage you to work hard and be persistent and determined to accomplish something for yourself, your parents and your family.
Avoid social traffic in a college, you will get through it. Therefore, you may pick a major that has tougher courses and blends with a minor that will fit your skills and interests. You can choose an elective along subjects that you enjoy. It may be hard for you to understand but I came from an Art degree background but I challenged myself and finished applied sciences and statistics on the higher level. Maturity and responsibility will push you to success. But you have to really focus on what you want to accomplish for your life's future. The next step is looking into details.
