A Gift for My Friends

I have a gift to give my friends
A gift that's great and true
A gift that grows like leaves on trees
Adorning a sky of blue

This gift can bring you love and joy
And peace to see you through
The hard times we all experience when
It seems there's nothing you can do.

So let me give this gift to you
My friend, my love so true
Let Jesus come into your heart
Oh, the things He'll do for you!

He took our sins, the worst in us
And all our sickness, too
And bore them all upon the cross
To give life to me and you.

He redeemed us to the Father
In heaven up above
We are no longer sinners
But the children of Almighty God!

So open up your heart my friend
It's easy as can be
Just ask Jesus Christ into your heart
And find that you are free!
