Guys are the master at dating without drama. Girls, on the other hand, are the drama queens! We love to gossip about who's dating who, who's cheating on who-and we really get our feathers ruffled if we feel another girl is moving in on our territory.
The best way to keep drama out of dating, girls, is to remember that dating is supposed to be enjoying the company of a guy we're attracted to without any strings attached. Just because he asked you out on a date doesn't mean that he wants to go steady yet or get married, for heaven's sake! A date is just a simple date. We're not committing our lives to someone by going out on a dinner date. If that were the case, we'd all still be waiting for Mr. Wonderful to call and ask us out on a first date. No guy in his right mind wants that kind of pressure just by picking up the phone and saying, "Hey, would you like to go to a movie on Saturday night?" A movie is a just a movie-not a trip to a wedding chapel!
If all is fair in love and war, it's certainly fair in dating. Society says it is perfectly alright to date more than one person at a time. So, if Casanova wants to date Juliet while he's still dating you, that's perfectly fine. Don't plan to egg Juliet's house just because he fancies her at the same time he's dating you-and by all means, don't start spreading ugly rumors about her. It could come back to bite you in the fanny-and hard! No guy wants to pursue a serious relationship with a gossiping lunatic! The kind, meek girl will win the battle every time.
And let's be honest here-we all know that men love jealous women. It strokes their ego tremendously. If Jack knows you're green with envy over his relationship with Jill, I guarantee you he's going to play that card for a long, long time. Reap your own benefits from the no-strings-attached relationship you're now in. Seize the opportunity to date and get to know a lot of great guys while you're still dating him.
Be classy. Guys love classy chicks who act becomingly. They love gals who don't put undue pressures on them to make commitments they're not ready to make. Most men are generally afraid of commitment, especially if they're pushed into it too quickly. Just enjoy the moment and take your relationship slowly, one step at a time. This will remove the potential for a lot of dramatic commitment issues from your dating relationship.
