Landon (LAN-don) comes from the Old English meaning "wooded" or "long" hill. Written Laundun or Langdun, it was originally a surname. It came into existence in Cornwall possibly before the Norman Conquests in 1066 A.D. Because of its origins, it seems to be a Christian name.
