Poetry: God

by Psychosis

Created on: February 12, 2008

I read a lot and I'm scared and confused.
Born in sin, cheated and abused.
I'm feeling low and in so much trouble.
I drop to my knees and pray double.
I know that he is real and listens to prayer.
I'm such a terrible sinner, do I even dare?

I know he forgives if we ask.
But I cannot remove this insidious mask.
I hope and I pray that I can be so bold.
My heart remains frigid and cold.
I look around and hope I can see.
God smiling, taking pity on me.

I know I'm a sinner with no hope of my own.
God's love, a vision he's shown.
God is there, eternity for the taking.
Just make sure, it's the right decision you're making.
It's up to you, you never can tell.
Don't risk you're soul, you may end up in Hell.
